What can I put in a crate?

Almost anything that fits, closes, and weighs 40 lbs or less. Clothing, books, holiday decorations, kids' toys, kitchenware, linens, tools, sports gear, files and paperwork, small electronics — if it fits in the crate with the lid fully closed, it's probably fine.

A few rules:

40 lb max per crate. If one person can't lift it comfortably, split it into two crates. Books are the classic offender — fill a crate halfway with books, top it off with something light.

The lid must close completely. Nothing sticking out, nothing bulging.

Not allowed:

• Anything that can leak, spill, or melt. Liquids, paints, oils, candles, toiletries, and cleaning supplies
• Food of any kind, even sealed or canned, attracts pests.
• Hazardous or flammable items — propane, gasoline, aerosol cans, fireworks, ammunition.
• Plants and anything living (or formerly living)
• Firearms, weapons, or anything illegal to possess

Cash, jewelry, and irreplaceable valuables.

Keep holiday and seasonal decorations or gear in up to 3 extra crates for when you need it. At the end of the season, we will pick up those crates and drop off the crates for the next season. RStandard and Premium customers may keep up to 3 extra crates at home to prepare a seasonal exchange. We return requested stored crates and collect packed replacement crates during the same visit. Stored crates cannot exceed your plan allowance. On Standard, a swap uses one of your 2 included returns per 12 months. Premium includes 1 additional seasonal swap per 12 months, on top of its 2 included returns. Extra at-home crates do not add storage capacity or unlimited visits. Further exchanges are quoted before booking and invoiced through Shopify before the appointment is confirmed. Separately agreed benefits are honored.nse and repeat. No, you can request a return delivery anytime, as often as you need. Once you've used your plan's included deliveries for the year, additional return deliveries are a flat $18 each, with the saYou can request another return without waiting for your allowance to reset.
